Dear Santa,
I cant wait for you to come this year, I am really excited. I have been told by my friend Jessica Cox that you aren't real but I dont believe her because I have heard you before and I heard your reindeer.

This year I been a very good girl and for being good I would like a present. I know this sounds greedy but I would really like an iphone 5s. That is the only present I would like this year because I am going to America and dont need anything else. I have helped my mum around the house this year and have got a job to help the doggy day care. At the doggy dare I cleaned out the back and took the dogs for walk. So since I have helped out and been good this year I really would appreciate the present I would like. Thank you.

I was wondering if you would like a different snack by the chimney this year? I saw last year that you didn't drink all the milk, so is there something else that you would like? I also saw that you munched all your way through the cookies so I will leave out more this year.

I can't wait to see you!

From Milly

45 Minute Inquiry

A rose by any other name is a famous quote written by Shakespeare in the year 1600.
It originated from his play Romeo and Juliet. The full quote is 'a rose by any other name would smell as sweet' and that was said in act 2 scene 2 by Juliet.
'A rose by any other name' means what matters is what something is, not what it is called. Juliet said this to explain her love to Romeo and show that his name dosent matter to her. The word rose does not just mean a rose but also it mean Romeo.

In the 21st century there was a American romantic comedy loosely based on Romeo and Juliet.

45 Minute Inquiry

45 Minute Inquiry.

Curling is a game that is played in the Winter Olympics. It is played with to long sticks with a broom at the end of them and that is called a sweeping broom. You also use a curling stone that glides across the ice floor, the curling stone is made out of a granite stone. To play curling you have a team of four. On the ice at once there is three player and the fourth is a sub. The captain is know as the 'skip' and they make all the decions the other positions are called lead, second and third.

To play curling a player pushes the curling stone across the ice and the other two players use there sweeping brooms to sweep around the stone to make force so the curling stone will keep moving. The aim of this game is to see how far you can get the stone before it stops. Each player pushes the stone twice so they all alternate with the positions.

The next curling tournament is in the Winter Olympics which is going to be held in Fussen, Germany. New Zealand has a team and they were selected out of lots of curling teams around the world to play in the next Winter Olympics. There are eight olympic teams and New Zealand is one of them.

The misty layer of thick black covered the once blue sky. Hundreds of cars lining up like anxious fans lining up for there favourite concert. The overgrown dead grass takes over the side of the busy motorway. The chimneys were puffing like they were chain smokers. The traffic merges like a zip and slowly makes it way further up the motorway.

I can barley stay awake as I had been waiting in line for hours slowly moving. I feel like I have been waiting for days and days. My arms feel like jelly as they have been up on the wheel for I don't know how long.

Germany

After a long flight to Muinch, Germany I was so surprised to see how clean and green it was over there.
When we arrived to the school and it was so amazing the facilities were just beautiful.
I got billeted out with Emily and we were with a lovely American family. In Muinch we did lots of tours and sight seeing a highlight in Muinch was playing there rugby and softball teams. There were a few injures in rugby but we wasted both the rugby and softball teams in the end.

We next traveled to Austria and went for a tour of ' The Sound Of Music' places were it was filmed. It was really pretty with all the mountains and water. We also found out a few filming dramas such as when they were in the boat the little girl couldn't swim so when they all fall out they were spose to fall out the front of the boat and Maria was spose to catch her. But when they took the second take Maria fell out  the back and all the children fell out the front. If you look closely in the movie you can see Greatle  the youngest bobbing up and down. The next day we went to Nushvanstein castle were some of the seances were filmed from chitty chitty bang bang there.

The next place we went to was Hidleberg. When we arrived we got welcomed with a song and a snack and a drink. Then we meet our host family. Mine wasn't the best, well the daughter was nice but the mum not so much. Just from one look I could see I was not going to enjoy it. The mum had piercing above her lips and piercing all down her ears. The tattoos were all up her arms and over her back. When I got back there was a pet rat and snake and the mum was a chain smoker.

Superstition

Superstition is when people believe all types of things are bad luck. Like
• If you walk under a ladder you will get bad luck for 10 years.
•If you see a black cat you will get bad luck.
• If a mirror brakes you will get bad luck and so on.

Other thing is Friday the 13th it is known to be a very unlucky day. I know that one day a child was going across the road and a car came speeding and nearly hit the child luckily a teacher grabbed them and pulled out of the way. Ever since that I have been really scared of friday the 13th.

He told us about his life and that his family got abused just like animals get abused. He was a really funny guy and you could tell he was really confidant talking infront of us. At the end he asked us questions about things we had learnt during the season and if you got it right you got a prize. There was t-shirts, hats and everyone got a pencil case. We should have homework.

For:
* Homework is good because it gives us extra work and extends our minds to make us better learners.
* It is good to do homework because it gives us some responsibility to make sure we finish it and bring it back on time.
* Homework prepares us for the future and we get extra learning which is always good.

Against:
* You have to find time after school to do it because if you have a lot of things on after school it can be hard to finish on time sometimes.
* If you dont do homework you may not get a better job when your older because you will do extra learning.

* School uniforms are good because in the morning you all ready know what your going to wear.
* You dont have to worry about what your clothes look like because everyone is wearing the same thing.
* Its fine having a uniform because you also get mufti days sometimes during the year when you get to wear your own clothes, which that can be a nice change for a day every now and then.

Against:
* It can be a bit annoying having a uniform because you have to wear the same thing every single day.

My Holiday

A big highlight in my holidays is going to Wellington and being in the earthquakes. The first one was at about seven o'clock in the morning. It started with the rumble, then the windows were shaking and then the beds were moving. My first reaction was to jump up and get into the doorway, but my friend in the room opposite me didn't do the same he just stayed in bed while the earth was moving like crazy. Later that day we found out the magnitude was 5.7.  For the rest of the trip I was extremely scared there were lots of earthquakes after that but one there was one that was huge it was a magnitude of 6.5. It hit when we were in the street walking home, all of a sudden I wasn't walking in a straight line, I was going all over the place. There was a huge apartment building next to us that was swaying like crazy. The noise was horrific. It sounded like millions of sheets of glass shattering into a million pieces, even though no windows that we could see were braking. It was a scary but cool expose.

Term 2 overview

This term we have had a lot of fun events. We started off the term with going to camp and that was definitely a highlight. We have also had cross country, production, science fair and inter-house soccer. In inter-house soccer we came second to Rata it was a very intense game. It has also been the first term of hockey for me, I am going to aims next term which will be fun. For science fair I think I did quite well because I invented a device to stop your hands from getting sore when using crutches and I got a bronze ribbon, which I was happy with.
My lowlight this term is losing our inter-house soccer game because someone stod in the circle.
I have improved at running this term because we have been doing most mornings.
I still need to improve on my maths because I need to learn how to understand how to work out some problems.
My highlight was going to camp as it was a really fun week doing lots of activities.

Dear Nicole

I play 3 sports but my favorite is surfing by far. The reasons I love surfing is that you learn to appreciate the ocean and you get to learn how it works. You have the freedom of being out in the water by yourself and choosing whatever you want to do. I'm here to persuade you to join surfing its really fun and worth doing.

Surfing is easy once you get the hang of it, a little trick that I learnt when I was beginning how to surf was when a wave in coming and you get onto your board once the wave has caught up to you and is pushing you forward you do three paddles before you attempt to stand up. When I was first learning how to surf I fell off a few times but it may sound weird but its actually quite fun when you fall off and make a fole of your self when your surfing with your friends.

Bad Product

Once we went for our weekly shop at New World in Whangamata. When we got home there was a box of muesli bar and I deiced to have one. I opened the sealed box and looked inside to grab a muesli bar when there was already one open so I looked at it and there was a bite out of it. I thought that was very od so I showed my mum. At first she didn't believe me but after I fully explained what happened and told her the box was definitely sealed she started to believe me. Later that day we went back to  New World and told them what happened. They refused to believe us and just thought that we were lying to get a free product but I think they knew what we were talking about. Later that month one of our friends had a similar thing happen to them and that made me think that New World had a bit of a rat problem.

S1. Improve your leadership skills: Act as a class leader or school counsellor all
year.

I am one of the class leaders in room 42 with Kyle. At first I didn't really wont to be class leader but I got nominated and won.To pick our class leaders one day before lunch we nominated a few people and did a blind vote. As a class leader we get to organise class activities and give out golden tickets at the end of the week. We dont do so much anymore as we now have two house leaders in our class.
I was also class leader in room 30 last year and this was the speech that I came up with last year:

Good morning/afternoon Room 30

What do you see in a Class leader? Do you see leadership qualities. Well I have those qualities. I am very responsible and know when enough is a enough. I am extremely confident with my speaking in front of an audience and as some of my fellow year 6 peers will know I was chosen to do the leaving speech at the end of the year at Tauranga Primary School.

If I was Class leader anyone could come talk to me about anything, it would be like our little special circle time.
I consider my self trustworthy (and I do like to have a joke around from time to time) Also I am a team player and I like to participate in everything.

If you want a fun and jam packed year just vote for Milly Hillbrook as class leader.
Thank you for listening.

A5. Improve your study skills: Research Rimu- where do you find it? What are some facts about Rimu trees? What uses does it have? Why is Rimu the best tree in
the school?

You find Rimu trees in the New Zealand forest. They are normally on the side of open trails and right in the mid of the bush.

Rimu trees can be used for lots of different things like  making bowls and other wood turned objects. The inner bark can also be used to treat burns and cuts so thats good if you ever in the bush and have a serious cut.

Rimu trees and very slow growing but they can live for 800 to 900 years approximately. They can also grow up to 50 meters.

Rimu is the best house in the school because we all work together and get on very well. When ever there is a school event our whole house is there supporting everyone. In the cross country I think we were defiantly the best looking house, we were covered in paint and all dressed up in red.

The Worst Thing About My Sister

Have you ever felt that your big sister is just a pain in the butt? Well in this book the worst thing about my sister Marty feels the same way. This book is by Jacqueline Wilson. Jacqueline Wilson has published many books in her time, Hetty Feather, Double Act and The worst thing about my sister. Jacqueline was born in a bath in 1945. She always wanted to be a writer, she wrote her first book novel when she was nine years old.

The book is about 2 girls one called Melissa and one called Marty. The both of them have different personality, Melissa is all super-duper girlie and all pink and Marty is tomboy dressing clothes that haven’t been washed and has heaps of stuffed animals and she calls her bedroom “Marty Dean”. The girls mum got a new job designing dress for little girls, after making Marty wear one to a girls party. That meant that Marty had to share a room with Melissa so their mum can use it for sewing room. Which was very hard for them. When Marty has her best friend over for the night, Marty friend wants to hang out more with Melissa than Marty. Their dad built a nice big shelf for the girls bedroom. When Marty's friend mum goes and looks in the girls room she loved how their dad had done the shelves and asked if he could build some for her daughter. He said yes of course even though he was a professional they still needed the money. But when Melissa falls and ends up in hospitals the two girls realize that they love each other.

All the characters very different, like Melissa and Marty. Melissa is very proper and pink and doesn’t like getting dirty and likes jewelry and makeup, compared Marty where she likes Sports drawing cartoons and getting dirty and NOT wearing pretty little dresses.

The worst thing about my sister is a very good book. It is aged between,8+. It is quite funny and sometimes there are very sad moments. This book would be recommended to people who have annoying sisters too.I enjoy this book very much you could read it as many times as you like because it is so interesting.

My scary night.

It was a dark cold night and I was lying in bed downstairs, all of a sudden I heard a big thud... I asked my mum if she had heard it, she was about to ask me that exact question. I felt goose bumps appear on my arms. As fast as a lightning bolt my mum ran up stairs to see if my sister was alright because the thud came from her room. My sister was sitting on her bed shaking, she looked like she had seen a ghost, then she whispered “I think there someone on the roof”. I could barely hear her talking over my teeth chattering. She told us that she saw the roof shake when she heard the thud. We really didn't have any idea what it was. The things that crossed my mind were a person, a dead person, a albatross, a dead albatross or space junk.

Ten minutes we still hadn't heard anything else. So my mum went to lock my sister door but it wouldn't lock, now I was really scared. We tried and tried to get it to lock but it wouldn't lock.
My crazy Aunty had an idea, it was almost as weird and crazy as she was but it did work. She tied a pair of jeans to the handle of the door and the other leg of the jeans to the wardrobe door handle.

I was so scared the rest of the night.

His ear lobes are a long as a finger. He is always wearing a cow boy hat and he walks around dropping his hands down low. When he was about 23 he was in a car accident and was in a coma for about a year. He damaged his brain and is now in a special home in Auckland. Last time we went to see him he told my mum that he better take me home before he takes her to a park at night when the aliens are going to come and take them to another planet. He means well but really after his accident he has never been the same.

The book Wickit is a fantasy adventure book about a little boy named Pip. He lives in a small town in the most smallest house you could ever imagine. One day he decided to explore the high mountains and discover new thing but it turned out to be more of an adventure of crazy and scary. When he got to the top of the mountain he found a little village with straw topped houses and there wasn’t much at the village except for some monks. He saw an old man that was half bald and was wearing a old red robe. His name was Abbot Micheal. The other monks names were Brother Barnard,Brother Gilbert,Brother John and Brother Paul. Abbot Micheal was the leader of the brothers and he was called the father of the community. Prior Benet is the second in command. Abbot Micheal showed him around and showed him the most dreadful place on earth. he looked down at a giant swamp and behind was a giant castle. In the distance he saw a little figure with a giant hat with a large feather on it as if a loaf of bread was on his head, he was Sir Robert. He was the new king arnalds servant and another servant he has is called Sir Giles. He wanted to check the castle out but Abbot Micheal said it was way to hard to even go to the bottom of the swamp. Everyone hated the new king so they tried to kill him but they all ended up dying. One day Pip wanted to kill the king so he can be a hero to everyone but it didn’t really go to plan. This book is a book that uses a variety of language and makes you think about it when you are finished. This book would be suitable for ages 8 to about 12. I enjoyed this book because it wasn’t like an ordinary book.

We were told to look at the notice board outside the sports office at lunchtime to see if our team had made it to a final. We looked at the notice board and we saw our name the (FLAGS) in the grand final. This came as a big surprise to us because we never thought we would make it any were near here. This was even closer than the Kahikatea game. But we ended up winning the whole competition. We were all so surprised and we couldn't
 believe it at all.

Charging laptops at school

What are the negatives of Rimu students charging their laptops at school?

1. If we were aloud chargers at school it wouldn't be such a for students to charge there computer at home.
2. There would be lots of chargers lying around the classroom and that would be a hazard as people would trip over them.
3. It would be expensive because we would be using lots of power.

What are the 2 of the suggestions for solving the problem?

1. There would only be one charger that is available to use at Miss Campbells desk.
2. You were only aloud to use your charger at morning tea and lunch times.

What is your opinion about Rimu students charging their laptops at school.

I think we should allow the chance for people to charge their computers. Some nights we are busy and out most of the night and we just go to bed or you lend your charger to someone else who has a faulty battery and they forget to give it back to you and you dont have the opportunity to charge it. I think we should have at least 2 chargers running a day and everyone in the class can use them in that day but if your the last to use them, you are the one to put them away.

P1. Improve your fitness: Over a 12 week period run or
walk at least 60km or cycle 120km

I choose to bike 120km. I did this over a 12 week period and made a chart for when I did it and how many kilometers I did.

Here is a photo of my on my bike when we went to Waihi to do a 14km bike ride through the tunnels under the kaimais.

G1. Give to children in need: Participate in the 20 Hour famine. Raise a
minimum of $40.00

On Friday night after hockey I went to Brooke's house to start the 20 hour famine. We were doing no eating. After dinner and desert we started at 10:00pm and we went to bed so we werent missing food because we were sleeping. The next day we went to watch Brooke's sisters hockey. While she was doing hockey Brooke and I walked to the super market to buy some Just Juice and barley sugars. We arrive at Countdown, we looked at each other knowing that we were going into a food store. We go get 7 packets of Barley sugars and 2 bottles of Just Juice. As we were walking down the confectionary isle we were looking at all the sweet and sour lollies and chocolate missing it. As we walked out of the super market to our left there were people selling sausage and it was so tempting but we ignored it and kept walking.

When we got back to Brooke's house we made braclets and earring to keep our selfs busy for an hour or so. After that it was time for Brooke to go to jump jam and for me to go home. When I got home I had 3 more hours to go until I could eat something. I swear that was the longest 3 hours of my life. Finally I could finished and the first food I ate was a chocolate muffin that Brooke's nana made for us when we were finished.

The weekend

On Sunday it was my birthday. I wasn't so excited for my birthday this year, but it turned out being a good time. First when I woke up I opened my presents. For my birthday I got a pair of ugg boots, two pogo sticks,  four movie tickets, a zumba set and $160. I was quite surprised once I opened my presents and I thought it was a pretty good turn out because I was not expecting much as I am going to Germany and America at the end of the year. Later that day I went to the movie with Jessica, Brooke, Jahna, Lauren, Sattori, Kyle and Hoani to see the movie Fast and Furious 6. The movie is very intense and is fulled with action. I really liked the movie but at the end it was really sad and made a few of us cry.

What was the first animal on earth?

The first animal on earth was a ocean drifting comb jellyfish. The scientist were so shocked because they didn't relise the first animal on earth would be so complex. It was so shocking that the scientist  thought that they had gone wrong through the process of finding out what the first animal on earth was.
Comb jelly fish have connective tissues and a nervous system so that makes the comb jelly fish more complex than a sponge.

It was unexpected but because evolutionary biologists had thought that less complex animals split off and evolved separately first.

BP Technology Challenge

On Friday five people from room 42 went to the hall to compete with other schools in a technology challenge. Our group was Jessica C, Britney, Matt S, Cole and I. Our first activity was we had to build a structure to keep a marble 5cm from the ground. We were able to use string, straws, cello tape and a paper bag. We got 20 minutes to build this structure and we didn't quite get it done, so we sneakily kept  working. When Mr Marsh came to ours we told him that we went a little over the time to finish luckily he kept our points because we were honest.

Our second activity was we had to drop a egg on to the concret and make sure it didn't crack. With ours we missed heard Mr March and thought that we weren't aloud anything under the egg when we dropped it but unfortunately that was wrong and all the other teams had soft landing for there egg but not use. We got up to 10 cm and it cracked on our first go. The highest was dropped from 3 meters. The materials that we had to use were string, a paper bag, three sheets of paper, cello-tape, scissors and a piece of card.

Giving

G2. Give to your family: Prepare 3 formal three course meals, including the
menu, cooking and presenting, photographs of the meal and feedback from
your guests.

First up for my entree I just made something quick and easy, camabert cheese and crackers.I choose this dish because I really had know idea what to do for a entree. To make this you buy cheese and crackers, take the wrap out of the cheese and put you cheese and crackers on a plate.

Second I made home made pasta. First I needed to make the dough which is just flour and egg. You need to need the dough for ten minutes then leave it to rest for half an hour. The you have to cut the dough up in to four bits and start to role out the pasta once you get it thin enough you can put it through the cutting piece which makes it spaghetti. While the spagetti is cooking I cook fry some spicing sausages. Once the pasta is finished I put it all together with some pesto and oil and it makes a delious dish. The reson I picked this was because I love making the pasta, as it is really fun. Also the pasta only takes to minutes to cook which is cool.

For dessert I have choosen to make a meringue tower. Which was very difficult. First I make the meringue and it is very hard because it hurts your arm from whisking it for about ten minutes. Meringues are normally white but I wanted to spice it up a little bit and I put some blue food colouring in it so it would look cooler. Then I had to put it in the oven and left it for 1 and a half hours. When it looked ready I tock it out to cool and started to make the whipped cream which was cream then I whisked it. After that I made it into a tower and I think it looked and and tasted even better. For the first meringue that I had ever made I think I did it really well. One thing that annouyed me a little was it took so long to cook.

You'll find it hard to believe but when we arrived we didn't even know what movie we were going to. There were so many on but we surprisingly we choose the croods. I never thought I would go to the croods because it was a movie for little kids. Unfortunately during the movie the people infront of us kept telling us off because we were talking and throwing maltase's around the cinemas.

Charles Darwin argued that the change of the animal life over time was very slow. These changes were so that the species was able to survive out in its environment. Science experiment

At year 8 camp we did a stream study. The test I did was seeing what the temperature was in three different places in the water. The places I tested were in the sun, in the dark and in the rapids.
My hypothous was I thought that the water would be a lot colder in the shadows than in the sunlight.
Also I thought it would the same temperature in the rapids and sunlight because the water is moving fast and half of it was in the sunlight. From my memory after I did the test it was 8 degrees in the sunlight, 6 degrees in the shadows and 8 degrees in the rapids. My hypothous was right and it was the same temperature in the sunlight and the rapids, also it was warmer in the sun than the shadows.

Camp

On Monday the 6th of May the year 8 students from Rimu House went up to Ngamuwahine Camp for a week. At camp there are a lot of fun activities that put you outside your comfort zone.
Something that I am proud of is I got to the top of the vertical playpen which was very challenging and your arms got really sore after because you have been using all your upper body strength to pull yourself up to the top. Believe it or not but I actually held a dead possum. I was very surprised that I did that as I dont like any creepy crawly animals. The biggest challenge that I completed was staying in the bush for a whole night and sleeping on the end right next to the opening just looking into the bush.
The tastiest meal we had was the sausages and potatoes. The funniest thing was when Sharnae went up to get me a sausage and they made a rule that to get another sausage you have to eat a piece of pumpkin and Sharnae really hates pumpkin but she still had to eat it and it wasn't even for her. Everyone on my table was laughing really hard.

Britain's known oldest goldfishes Splish and Splash have been separated after 35 years because Splish has sadly passed away. He was found floating at the top of his tank dead last weekend. Splish and Slash were won in a fair in the year 1977 in Cheltenham by Richard and Ann Wright as a gift for there six and nine year old children which are now 40 years old. Hopefully Splash can hang in there for some more years so he can beat the world record which is 43 years.

My opinion is that I think it is amazing that a goldfish can live for more than 35 years and also I think it is sad that Splish has pasted away because he had been alive for so long and the family must of got really attached to their fish.

First up for my entree I made Prawns with soy sauce or tomato sauce. This dish only takes a few minutes but you have to get it just right and make sure you dont over cook it. So I put the prawns into the saucepan also with a few drops of soy sauce so it had more flavor, then to finish it off I started my presentation which had the prawns on the side of the glass with either soy sauce or tomato sauce in side the glass. Something I could of worked on is making maybe a side salad to go with the prawns because it was to simple. Something that went right was the prawns cooked to perfection.

I thought it was a great idea for an entree, it tasted good and was presented well. My only criticism would be that it could of had a few more prawns, maybe 6 rather than 4. It was also good that you could choose a sauce that you would like, I chose soy sauce, it complimented the prawns very well!

Then I started on the main which was Quick Calazone. I choose this because when we did it at school I really enjoyed it and it tasted so good so I wanted to remake it. First I started to make the yeast grow by putting warm water, sugar, active yeast and oil. Then I put that in warm water and left it to grow while I started to mix the flour and cut up the vegetables to go inside my calazone. After that I put the yeast mixture with the flour to make my dough. Then I put all the stuff inside and folded it over and chucked it in the oven. Then I did the exact same thing to make another one. Something I could of done is kept it in the oven from longer. Something that went well was it fulled you up and the cheese inside melted nicely.

The main dish was simply the best part of the 3-course meal, it was full of flavour and was perfect. The only bad thing was that the bread was just slightly undercooked, but other than that there was nothing negative about it.

For my final dish I presented vinilla cup cakes. I choose this because I just love to cook them, there my favorite sweet thing to cook. So first I just put all the ingredients into a bowl and out it into the cupcake trays. Then I took them out of the oven when they were ready and waited for them to cool so I could ice them. Something I could of down better was made the icing thicker so it didn't just drizzle off the cup cakes. Something I did well was it tasted nice but that just my opinion.

In December 2012 a nine year-old boy was found dead in his bed. His caregiver had over dosed him on  a drug called methadone. Police charged and arrested a 42 year old women that was looking after him for manslaughter of Antony Herewini-Christensen after a four month investigation.

My opinion is that it horrible that another child has died from being forced to take drugs. And I think that hundreds of children are also having to go through this and are going to die from a over dose of drugs that the parents are forcing them to do.

On Monday April 15th I made a three corse meal.

First up for my entree I made a egg quiche in bread. I choose this because it is easy to make and you cant stuff it up. I started with buttering both sides of the wheatmeal bread. Next I tried to make the bread into a cup so it could fit in easy when I squashed it down into the cupcake tray. After this I cracked a egg in to the cup I made out of bread, then I put salt and pepper and grated lots of cheese on top. Something I found hard was squashing the bread into the cupcake tray. I pretty much failed on cracking the egg in to the cup I made out of the bread because the egg started to over flow out of it.
What went well was when I tock out the bread cup out of the tray because it normally sticks but luckily in my case it just popped out.

Now I started on the main and I severed spaghetti cabanara. I choose this to because it is a meal I normally make and I have great confidence on this dish. First up I put the pasta to boil then I started on the sauce. The sauce contained egg yokes, cheese and milk. After I made the sauce I friend up some bacon. The pasta started to look ready so to cheak I used a trick I know, I thorogh a piece at the window and if it sticked it was ready.

It stuck so I knew it was ready. After I found out it stuck I put the pasta, egg yoke, cheese, milk and bacon it a frie pan. The sauce started to thicken like scrambled agg but in tiny tiny bits, which was what I was looking for. To finish off the dish I chopped up tomato, mushroom and basil then sprinkled it on top of the dish. Luckily today I didn't find anything hard because it was a dish that I am very used to cooking it. Something that went well was the finished dish my option is I think it tasted great and it was  what I was looking for so overall I am very happy with my dish.

For my finally dish of 4the night I severed peaches, ice-cream and sprinkles. This dish is extremely simple but the reason I choose it was because I used all my bowls and there was no room on the beach to make anything else. To make it it is pretty straight forward, all you do is put peaches in the bottom of the bowl and a dollop of ice-cream on top. Then I just sprinkled sprinkles on top. In the end it didnt look as bad as I thought it would be, so I was pretty happy with that. I was very suprised when I tasted it because I think the flavour of the chocolate ice-cream and peach actually worked.

News Tauranga Intermediate Fire

On Sunday April the 14th there was a fire at Tauranga Intermediate School causing three classrooms to burn down. This happened at 5:15 when the thick smoke started to poor out of the building. The fire was believed to been started by a electrical fault. It started in the first classroom and spread into the second and third classrooms. The fireman luckily got there just in time before the fire spreader further.
The firefighter had to open the roof to reach apart of the fire inside the classroom that was unreachable from the outside. They put the fire out with a extremely large hose.

My option is that I think that it is horrible that the fire was at my school and that the students are going to have move into a different classroom. Also I think it is kinda lucky in a way that there classroom got burnt because that means they will probably get renovations to there classrooms.
One thing I still wonder is that what electrical system caused the fire.
