Britain's known oldest goldfishes Splish and Splash have been separated after 35 years because Splish has sadly passed away. He was found floating at the top of his tank dead last weekend. Splish and Slash were won in a fair in the year 1977 in Cheltenham by Richard and Ann Wright as a gift for there six and nine year old children which are now 40 years old. Hopefully Splash can hang in there for some more years so he can beat the world record which is 43 years.
My opinion is that I think it is amazing that a goldfish can live for more than 35 years and also I think it is sad that Splish has pasted away because he had been alive for so long and the family must of got really attached to their fish.
